
Q: Who should use the SBS?
A: The SBS is perfect for individuals and small businesses that:
- want the creative flexibility offered by a dedicated, unique website - you don't want to have to choose a site design from pre-defined templates and be just another directory on somebody else's domain. You want your own site, with your own unique web address and your own look and feel.
- expect to do a relatively small volume of online transactions - you don't need the infrastructure and expense required to maintain an enterprise-level, high-traffic online store; you're not expecting to be the next Amazon.com - at least not right away.
The SBS is standards-compliant and cross-browser-compatible. (That means it works just fine in modern browsers.)

- the private Manager Console, where you as the store manager handle all of the product inventory and order processing tasks
Q: What happens if you choose Alverity to build you an SBS-based site?
A: Lots of good things!
- We design your site - Working with you, together we create the graphical look and feel for your unique website. You decide what content you want presented on each non-SBS page, and we help you create a consistent and effective message for your customers. At a minimum, your site will have a landing page (where your visitors "land" when first browsing to your site), a contact page, and probably an "About Us" page, in addition to all the SBS pages.
- We train you - Part of our commitment to our clients is complete training in the effective use of the SBS. We will teach you to set up and manage your store. And we supply a comprehensive SBS User's Guide - a thorough reference for any SBS user.
- You set up your store - You have complete control over all the content that appears in your online store, using the SBS's private Manager Console. You decide how you want to group your products into categories. Once you've created categories, you add products - images, descriptions, and prices. Want to attach documents to your products, to give your customers more information? The SBS can handle that too.
- You open for business - After you've polished your product inventory, it's time to open your virtual doors. Your customers view your site's public Storefront, where they browse your inventory and place orders. You process those orders and re-stock products using the Manager Console. The SBS even includes several reports to help you keep tabs on every aspect of your online store.
- We support you - Our relationship with our clients is for the long haul. We don't build you a website and wave goodbye; our commitment to every client is to provide excellent technical support. Site availability issues, SBS questions, database backups, and more - we're here for you.
